I am in love with the game of basketball and I have been since I was a little girl. The enthusiasm of players who are in love with the game whether male or female make it a journey to watch. Although my team did not make it to the Finals this year, I was hoping the Mavs would win and they did (Only if our hometown guy still played for them Josh Howard #5 the victory would have been even sweeter)!!!!!!!

Monique I know that I am not in the Port City for your special day but do believe that the next time we are (reunited and it feels so good) we will live the moment up. I have missed you terribly these last few months and there is not a day that goes by that I do not wish you were here or I was there. There are moments that I cannot help but get emotional thinking about our friendship starting at day one until now. Ever since I was a little girl I have always wanted a friend named Monique, so when I met you I knew it was fate and we were supposed to know one another. With this new year and a new you I want you to celebrate the blessings that you have but also the love that you have for yourself. The love that we as women have for ourselves cannot be compared to and there is nothing greater than to love yourself. Falling in love with ourselves will allow us to learn how to fall in love with someone else. Even as people come and go in and out out of our lives, remember that our friendship is constant and no matter the distance I am just a phone call away. I was a little upset not being with you on your birthday because I thought that maybe the memory of me was not with you. Silly of me to think that because I know that there is nobody in the entire world that can take the bond that you and I share away from either of us....(Gemini's and Aquariuses are soul mates). I love the woman you are but more importantly the friend that you are and I cherish the things that you and your friendship have brought to my life. You and I have a vibe that not even the worst day can kill and on the best days we could kill the world. I am able to be completely myself with you and nothing less, that I am forever grateful for because that is when I feel most beautiful. Thank you for being the fuel that helps this little engine run on my most difficult days. The distance (279 miles and 3 hours) makes each moment we have so much more worthwhile. The Perfect Email

There are some days that we all need a pick me up or some sunshine in our lives and with certain people or words we get just that. I sometimes read old emails or blogs from people that are close to my heart to find the happiness that I need for the moment....just to remember how wonderful life really is. Then there are those new emails that all of a sudden appear in your inbox *you've got mail sound* (lol) that gives you a take your breath away moment, from the thought of someone thinking about you. I love Momz emails that tell me straight or  the ones that she sends just to brighten my day and make me take a break from life's chaotic moments. I love getting emails letting me know someone has commented on a blog post, makes me feel good. I will read certain people's blogs over and over again until I fall asleep just because I love the them and the work that they do. I hope that one day I can compare just a little to those blogs that I love so much. So today I challenge you to email someone you love and let them know you are thinking about them or to just say hello. By giving this simple gesture there may be something waiting in return in your inbox *you've got mail sound*.

This will probably always be my favorite love letter of all time (thanks to Sex and the City how could any woman not fall in love with this), until I find my Mr Big and he writes me one better than this. For now I will continue to read this book from cover to cover, even if I have read it numerous times it has yet to get boring or old. <3



The One and Aidan

As of late one of my closest girlfriends has her share of love woes as we all have at some point or another. As we grow we learn the hardships of love and relationships, she has definitely had her fair share recently. So I am here to tell her that she is truly one of the loveliest women I know even though we have yet to meet in the physical. Having been through many relationships and falling hard in love a couple of times myself, I truly know how it feels to have your heart broken or even catch feelings for someone that you cannot ever be with. However, some people are never worth our time to begin with and we have learn the hard way so that we will not make the same mistake twice. With that being said make sure you let the person you like or love know your worth from the beginning. If a man learns how to love you for you and really appreciates everything you are worth you will know in your heart that he is "the one". A real man does not make love to a million women but instead he makes love to one woman a million ways and if in fact he can do this you have a keeper. We will have our hearts broken a hundred times before we find "the one" but all of these experiences are teaching us what we need to know and preparing us for the biggest LOVE of our lives. Remember that your Aidan is somewhere stuck in traffic but he will arrive soon and when he does you will know that he is the man that you life has been missing all along. He will bring you that "real love the ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can't love without each other love".
